It's a forum that's against hackers, but more than anything else, a 1337 databse of screenshots of people hacking.

Yea, the first thing I noticed here was all the people that came to Maplenoobs. So far I've seen at least three ex-high profile members/ex-sysops.

From my experience though, I don't think I ever want to head up an anti-hack site again, simply because of what the 12 year old script kiddies did when they realized I reported them. >< (Though legitly finding a tobi in front of one of their faces and being able to grab it was quite an accomplishment.)

Thank god we won't need an anti-hack site for a long long time.

I don't know if it's been said or not, but MapleTowers has a different policy on hacking- we prefer the legit way, recognising the grit involved, but we aren't ignorant of what hacking does for the economy.

Well, Maplenoobs would probably still somewhat be around if it wasn't for a certain website owner that decided to take the money and run.

I posted this on the MN Profil3 group the Tinny made, but one of my friends from my own site found Becky's account online and when she went to ask her about maplenoobs, she pretty much denied its existence. We don't really know whether or not that really was her, but if anything the screenshot of a megaphone from her that my friend took sure did sound Becky-ish. Not to mention, Becky's character was banned/deleted a few days later. (And the fact that it isn't back on the rankings means that if she didn't delete her, she was hax0ring. Wow...)

Believe me, I was pissed off and I'm sure Tinny was even more steamed. He probably put the most time out of anyone into the site. (Though we had some closer ones.) I actually told the profil3 community that if you've donated money to the site to charge it back, because there might have been some sort of scam involved.

I do remember the first hacker reports coming off of Windia, though. Bera's had a few minor issues with them, but I don't think anything has been major and I hope we NEVER have to go back to the problem we had earlier this year.

As for hackers and the economy, yes equips were more "available" back then, but everything also cost 10 times more than it does now.

I'm not looking to cause a debate about this in an intro thread, though. I've always hated doing that.

Well of course it was. Everyone was rich. With hacks being as openly used as they were people stole money from hackers, bought mesos, and hacked themselves. Now, I admit, I liked the idea of more items being available, but not at the cost of ruining the game.

So which evil should you be in favor for? The possibility of more items but the bad economy? Or less items and a chance for even new players to not feel completely poor?

Hmm.. Personally, I prefer the latter.
